Great Workout Routines for Women

Workout routines for women are not hard to find. With most of us being busy wifes and mothers, we don't have a lot of time to create our own programs or hit the gym but we want great results, right?

Women need programs that are highly effective, don't take up a lot of time, and of course are fun so that we continue doing them. Take a few minutes to browse through the list of workout routines for women that I have personally tried and recommend to you.

Of course, please note that men can also do these workout routines but they do seem to be more focused on the female population and needs.

 ChaLENE Extreme

Similar to structure and design as the P90X program, ChaLENE Extreme focuses on helping you burn fat, boost your metabolisn, and burn up to 60% of your body fat in just 90 days.

ChaLENE Extreme's trainer is the creator of TurboJam and TurboFire, Chalene Johnson.

More focused on strength training and lean muscle development than her other programs, this program does deliver results and is one of my favorite recommendations for workout routines for women.

 You receive 15 workout DVD's, a fitness and nutrition guide, a thigh toner band, and a body fat tester to get you started. You will start with the BURN PHASE, progress to the PUSH PHASE, and then end with the LEAN PHASE! Each of the phases are 30 days long and vary from workout to workout. Women often think that if they lift weights that they will bulk up with is just not the truth. Cost is $119.95 from the company. You can upgrade to the Deluxe program and receive more workouts and some workout recovery drink as well.

Brazil Butt Lift

Zumba is really a popluar fitness routine right now especially in fitness clubs. Brazil Butt Lift is not Zumba by any means, but it does have some similarities. Leandro Carvalho, the trainer in workout series is a native of Brazil and personal trainer for Victoria Secret models.

I actually bought this workout because I really needed to tone my Bum Bum (Brazilian for butt) but really wasn't sure if it would fit me well. I actually really enjoy it as a supplement to my other workouts here and there.

Brazil Butt Lift is a total body workout program that combines Brazilian dance, cardio, and his own signature lower-body sculpting moves to lift, firm, and shape your behind for a rear view.

What girl doesn't like to hear that? Honestly, I am not sure how many men would want to use this program but it is defintely a great workout routine for women who need a lift back there but do not want to undergo the knife!

Slim in 6

Slim in 6 was the very first Beachbody workout program that I ever purchased and completed before P90X and I loved it. It is a great beginner workout program and one of our best workout routines for women. It is a introductory and light resistance program combined with low-impact cardio but still produces great results.

It has been updated from it's original version so if you have an older version you might consider upgrading. It comes with 6-week meal planning guide among other tools.

Debbie Siebers, the trainer of Slim in 6, is hot, no doubt about it. I was able to meet her in person last year and she is in incredible shape. It is more of a 6-week program but it can be done for a lot longer than that obviously.
