I am a fitness instructor. I teach step, spinning, kickboxing and interval training several times a week and I run a 10k every few months, so I would consider myself a very fit person. I bought Insanity because I wanted a challenge and boy did I get it. My first couple workouts were very difficult to get through. But after a week, I started to get the hang of it. I started to get excited because you improve every time you get through it. The workout is very intense. If you did sports, you will recognize a lot of the drills. It's a no frills workout. If you need motivation to get you through a workout, don't choose this one. This is for people who want a challenge and are intrinsically motivated themselves. I can say that I lost a lot of weight. My stomach is super flat and toned and my legs are hard. You get noticeable changes very quickly. But it's not easy, at all...even for the people who are fit. It's funny because after doing Insanity, everything else got easier. My 10K times were quicker and spin classes were a breeze because my heart was so conditioned. It's worth the hard work!
